* Mark is in the process of writing and recording a new album and the band is celebrating 20 years The Rhumba Kings in 2023.

Mark is also busy with a book which will eventually be self-published ..

* 'Touched By Greatness' is a detailed collection of short personal stories and photographs from his life in the music business,

being a versatile musician namely a singer-songwriter, double bassist, drummer and guitarplayer.

A candid and interesting memoir of his meetings, dealings, parties and hand-shakes with the famous, in-famous .. characters, legends and personal friends who have all passed through his life so far.

From 1972 - 2023 .. Everything is revealed!

MARK HARMAN (RESTLESS) will be joining THE RHUMBA KINGS on guitar for several shows this year. Dates with Mark are announced at our the gig page.

JANUARY 2019

The year has started with an explosion of creativity and productivity ... Mark officially launched his long in pre-production solo 'un-plugged' project concept 'PIRATE PEACE PUNK' .... Influenced by artists as diverse as TV Smith, Kurt Cobain, Henry Rollins, Keith Richards, Adam Ant, Dexter Romweber and Jack White.

Mark's eclectic and diverse musical tastes, paired with his fascination for the historical origins of piracy and skullduggery, blended gently with his genuine concern for the need of world peace .. Has finally given birth to 'M.S.P.P.P.'

Solo CD WARRIOR of MARK SPREX, produced by P PAUL FENECH of The Meteors has arrived and is for sale! A very special collectors " limited edition" digipack CD with 8 tracks, 8 page booklet and sticker. Only 300 copies hand numbered and signed!

SEPTEMBER 2016

MARK IS RECORDING A SOLO ALBUM WITH STUDIO BOSS AND "GODFATHER OF PSYCHOBILLY" Mr P. PAUL FENECH (THE METEORS)

Mark is currently very busy working on a brand new solo album which we be entitled 'Rebel Songs For The Broken-Hearted'.

He has spent considerable time and investment during the summer of 2016 working on the album at 'El Rancho Loco Studios' in Milan, Italy.

Together with studio boss and 'Godfather Of Psychobilly' Mr P. Paul Fenech (The Meteors) .. The album will feature only Mark Sprex originals and features only himself on all instruments and vocals.

The album is due for release winter 2018 on his own independent label 'Sprex Records'.

It will be a special 'limited-edition' release of 300 hand-numbered copies .. a collectors piece!
